In July 2007 Jim Gillmore dropped out. In August 2007 Tommy Thompson dropped out.

Here are my suggestions for 5 candidates who are completely useless, as defined by the following formula, and should drop out immediately, narrowing the field to 6 on each side

0 Chance of winning + 0 Purpose, ideological or otherwise, to being on stage

Sam Brownback- Does nothing that Mike Huckabee doesn't do better
Chris Dodd- His excuse for existence on the stage is still unclear
Duncan Hunter- See comments on Dodd above
Tom Tancredo- His obsession with illegal immigration makes him a 1 issue advocate and non-candidate, his opposition to legal immigration proves he's nuts
Mike Gravel- The camera zooming in on him as he spits out anger against Vietnam is entertaining, but Kucinich has the loony left slot well covered already
