I am reminded of the old joke about the reporter who found the candidate having sex with his wife in their car. "He was having sex" the line goes, "so he isn't a Republican. But he was with his wife, so he isn't a Democrat."

Eliot Spitzer was a pretty big name. The one who slayed the Wall Street scandal monsters of 2001-2003. The AG become Governor and a guy who yesterday would have been on my very short list of 'What Democrats will be running for President in 2016'.

And then today's Trib has the delightful headline "REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE, CONVICTED OF DRUG POSSESSION, FILES PAPERS TO RUN AS A DEMOCRAT."

And so in politics, yet again, we have the delightful choice of the scoundrels or the hypocrites. Meanwhile, Hillary feels entitled, while trailing Obama by 150 pledged delegates, to say that she will consider him for Vice President.
