Or maybe I just watched it over multiple nights while trying to decide where to move to and didn't fully give it a fair hearing. Abigail Breslin was the charming little Shirley Temple with an attitude character that she usually is, despite the crime that was The Constant Gardner Rachel Weisz does look a lot like Kate Winslet, which never hurts, and the guy was a staffer for Clinton's '92 Campaign for most of the movie, and then throws his microwave dinner at the TV while watching the "it depends on what the meaning of 'is' is" deposition line- so it did have a smart ass, a good looking girl, and politics, which is way more than most dime a dozen romantic comedies.
